Hi everyone,

I'm full-time Transit dwelling in Los Angeles and am trying to make our van as secure as possible. We've added electronic deadbolts to the slider and rear doors, cages behind our vinyl wrapped rear windows, a partition from the cab to living quarters, a blink camera system. However, the front windows can just be smashed and all the doors unlocked - we have safety film to slow the process. Is there any workaround for this? Once the battery saver mode engages the door unlock switch is disabled, but that takes ~30 minutes or so. I'm trying to have the switch disabled immediately, if possible? Or can those switches be selective to the front doors only, which I know you can do with the fob.

Any help or suggestions with beefing up security is appreciated!

Many people here have dreamed of doing that because of the interior lights but I do not think any were successful.
Maybe you can pull the fuse for the locks or get a battery disconnect switch for the Transit battery.

Ah, I see. Thanks! I think I will go for a battery disconnect

To disable the unlock switches only, just pull out the latch assembly and unplug them.

If you want to be selective on when they are disabled or not, just cut into one of the wires on the plug and run it to a hidden switch.
