Delayed delivery
Ordered and paid for a transit van in August of 2021. First build date was 30 January 2022. I receive updates every Couple of weeks extending the build date. The latest update now scheduled for middle of may 2022. Is a anyone actually receiving an ordered T 350 or should I expect my ordered 2021 van to morph from a 2022 model into a 2023 van?

Sounds like a dealer that implied Ed75 was buying a 2021 that would be shipped any day now and silently resubmitted it for a 2022 that may actually materialize.
Except for missing out on some of the new options only available in 2022 (Passive Entry, etc.), and maybe paying a little more (front/rear split camera option being submitted as the 360), people who are happy just to get a van might not quibble.
If he got a January build date, then maybe it was one of the dealers that did get their orders bumped to the front of the line. While the posts have been drowned out in the noise, there was at least one poster that claimed their dealer worked with Ford to get their cancelled 2021 into a 2022 and priority treatment.

So you couldn't order a 2021 last August, orders were closed. You shouldn't have been able to place an order for a 2022 until September, as Brandon says. So we're guessing its a 2022? It will not become a 2023 order unless you have your dealer enter it into the 2023 order bank when it opens. Your dealer wasn't very straight with you?
At least your getting updates and have a production date. I assume you have a Vin number if you have a production date. If you do then it is going to get built at some point this year. Are you getting updates directly from Ford or from your dealer?
Ordered a 2021 t250. Ford stopped building these in September. Changed build to a 2022 t350, assigned vin in November 2021 with a build date of January 30 2022. T350 148” awd srw . Adventure prep package, preferred equipment package 101A, HD trailer tow package, sync 4 HD/nav/IACC, perimeter alarm, 360 degree camera, dual alternators, power sliding door, extended fuel tank, upfitter package, trailer brake controller, remote start, power running board, carbonized gray and body colored front bumper. Still no firm build date.
My dealer has been nothing but helpful. Small dealers don’t get much help from ford at any level. My dealer gets the same updates as I do. Not very confident ford will actually build this van. Wanted to have a conversion completed for use this summer. Starting to investigate options other than ford.

Your dealer might have got the priority treatment if you received the VIN when you said you did.
But the realities of building the van might have taken over after that. From everything that has been said, once you get a VIN you are golden on getting a van. Just no guarantees when that'll be (but it'll be a 2022 since the VIN carries that as the model year).
I ordered mine early November and got Vin mid December with a February build date. Date changed 9 times and it was built last week. At airport now to go pick it up tomorrow. I think you are going to get your van but just have to wait it out.

If you have a actual build date, then you should have a VIN that would tell you which year model got ordered. This sounds like a 'drag you along with money in hand' deal since it looks like they know nothing about ordering a Transit.
You should have in hand a preview order printed from the Ford system which would tell you the year model. If you have a projected build date, then you should have a 17 digit VIN as well as a order code. Unless you have those 3 things, not sure you have a 'real' Transit order.
I went back over your ordered options and one that may be your holdup....Power Sliding Side Door..which has been one not showing up on a lot of Transit orders.

If you are coming to KC on SW Flight 854 it is showing a delay from 1:35 am to 2:52 am. Don't get stranded at the airport. Just call me as I am at Harrah's Casino and 20 minutes from the airport.

Sounds like you are fine. There have been enough cases that come here, where an order wasn't place, that people were concerned you might be one of them. It's clear that you have an order. My 2021 took nine months, build dates every two weeks until one was actually real. It can be a long wait. Good luck.
We were flight 158 from Phoenix and got in about 1:45. Got Uber in less than 10 minutes. At Springhill right next to dealer. Still waking up, eating breakfast and getting ready.

We love our Casita. What ever I buy is what I will be pulling the trailer with. My long range plan is to convert the van to a camper and sell the trailer.

I too am a Casita owner. It's the ideal trailer. Hard to sleep 6 though which is where the Transit comes in.... Drive 8 and sleep 2 + 4 in the trailer.
