Howdy Benj. I didn't build them; so I'm sorry but I don't know. They were made by a cabinet shop in Idaho called TJ's Cabinets. That said it looks like a good even layer, of something hard and clear like a urethane. I'd guess that it was sprayed since its so even. The also got all the edges around the back and insides.Looks amazing! What finish did you use and how did you apply it?
