This is the first transit I've used. It's a nicely equipped company van, but I miss my computer stand that my old van had in the passenger front. So I am going to build one. I want to put a mount on the passenger side of the hump. But I am wondering if there is anything under the vinyl floor that I need to watch out for? Like wires or ducts? Any ideas? Thanks.

The airbag wiring harness for one. Runs between the seats. I had a Jotto desk and bought the Transit specific Jotto mounting bracket. It's probably in the garbage, but I might have saved it as a warning to others. Useless. Wobbled all over the place. Their Sprinter bracket was great. I modified it to fit the transit but it limited the adjustment range of the passenger seat more than I liked. Now I have the Adrian Steel file box. https://www.inlad.com/adrian-steel-...-steel-drivers-data-file-box-for-ford-transit It sits on a bracket which spans the passenger pedestal and the hand brake mounting plate. When I installed that, I had to be very careful not to tag the airbag wires. That thing would make a nice mounting point for a computer stand. It's steady.

I have a computer stand from RAM Mounts. Works just fine in my T150. No vibration and no holes required. Mounts on the passenger seat, no problems with any under carpet wiring. RAM makes mounts for many vehicles. I use them for police, fire and other comercial vehicles. There are other manufactures, but RAM is better price wise.

Right. Definitely do not want to hit airbag harness. The stand I have is a Jotto as well. And I also did not like seat adjustment or the cramped leg from mthe bar being so close to the seat. This van has the Adrian Steel file box. Good idea on that. And I will also look into the RAM mount as suggested. Thanks for the info.
