This I find interesting. The new little City Express from Chevrolet will not have a Tow rating. Its donor vehicle the NV200 also was not and will not be rated for towing do to its light duty nature, at least thats what they're saying.

Meanwhile the just as little Transit Connect is rated for 2,000 lbs. Not much, but victor by default...

that is quite sad as people that buy these will eventually come to many situations where they will be considering towing something and this is likely to cut into their sales.

It seems odd to me that you wouldn't put a tow rating on a work vehicle like this. I guess they just figure that you would put it in the actual van instead of towing, but there are plenty of situations where people would like to tow I'm sure. It just doesn't seem like that smart of a business decision.

I'm sure the van CAN tow, but its not rated too, which really means if you attempt it you can kiss warranty goodbye becasue you're operating the vehicle outside of outlined standard operating procedures...

My bicycle doesn't have a tow rating either. Makes sense, I run the City wheels and tire on it!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh:
