I have a 2016 transit 250 and the cargo ceiling lights will not turn off with the rear doors open. I need my doors open for hours while working so these lights should go off. Also, the 3-position switch located with the reading lamps do not control the cargo lamps. And there is no switch to turn on the cargo lamps with the doors closed. Am I missing something or is this a serious design flaw? In my E250 the ceiling lights are controlled by the headlight switch and I installed a switch near the rear door so I could turn the lights on when I needed them. How can I do that with van? and how can I turn off these lights?

Open rear door so cargo lights are on, then open drivers door, close it but keep it ajar, all lights will time out.
