I have: 2020 Transit LWB (148") HR. I'd like to install bunk windows. I'd like them to go towards the rear. Talking to a body shop they said I shouldn't cut the support pillar (red arrow in pic). I've seen others cutting this though. My question: is it ok to cut this, and how do you know? Is there something in the BEMM document that addresses this, and if so, where? I didn't see anything that mentioned this. Thanks in advance.

Motion Windows support says it's OK. I'm contemplating it. I may stiffen the rest of the window panel with verticals one each side of the added window. Probably wood shaved to the correct curve - and possibly attached to vertical shower walls inside the van. Not for a few weeks; hence I too am interested in feedback from others.

VanWindowsDirect also indicated that it's ok to cut it. They said there have been no issues associated with cutting that pillar, its not for structural support.
I'd still like to find out if Ford covers this in their BEMM. Anyone know?
