Looks like I will be gathering information for forum members who are looking at placing an order for a 2023 Transit. Part of making this list will help me when going to Ford to ask for a specific number of allocations for the 2023 Transit so I can be sure to get all of the Transit orders I place in the system.

Here is the information I need to get you on the list.

Full Name
Physical Address
Contact phone number
Email address

Specific body style of Transit
you will look at ordering. Use the www.transitbodydecoder.com site with the 3 digit body code as that information is needed for seeing what body styles are required as part of the allocations.

Send this information in the listed format to
[email protected] Once I know more about the 2023 Ford Transit Order Information, I will come back with a NEW forum thread with updated information. Right now it looks like the June 1st date will be good for placing first order entries.

Ed, to expand a little on mikeg's question, if we have a build week and VIN, but are still understandably a bit skeptical, should we give you our info to add to the 2023 list, just in case?

@CrewVanManInfo is it safe to assume that if I already have a 2022 order in with you and it hasn't been scheduled yet that my info will automatically be added to that list?
I will be taking ALL 'Unscheduled - Clean' 2022 Transit orders and looking to build out a similar 2023 order. There may be some new added options that will need to be discussed and possibly added to the original 2022 order to get it updated as your chosen 2023 order.

If you have a VIN and projected build week, then we feel pretty good you will get a built 2022 Transit. If your 2022 Transit has not been built by the time we can order a 2023 model, we can go ahead and buildout a 2023 model pending the 2022 Transit finally getting built and delivered.

Yes, we would need the order information of the 2023 model before we can build one. I will go through the Vehicle Visibility report and contact each person with an open 2022 order and work with them on setting up a 2023 order as a backup plan. You should ride out the 2022 order until it goes to 'Unscheduled - Balanced Out' status which I can see from the report.

The MSRP of some of the vans has jumped by a lot from 2022, some by more than $4,000. Will there be any efforts made to address this disparity for people who have placed 2022 orders and deposits with you if they have to be balanced out?

We can't control the changes in the Ford pricing, and we pay Ford based on when the order was placed in the system. Once it goes to a different year model, you lose the price protection for that order and a new order has to be placed in the Ford order system. Ford does not have a compensation program for unfilled Transit orders.

Do we have some idea of when 2023 pricing will be announced? I can only expect that it's going to be another jump even from the recent changes to the 2022 list prices.

The price lists normally come out about 2 weeks after the release of the Order Guide. Once the pricing gets into the order system, then we can build out a preview order and print it out. The way Ford has been making multiple price updates after the February 11th order cutoff is causing the online window sticker to be different than the original preview orders from prior dates. If you had a preview order from September 2021 and compare it to the number in the current updated 4/22/2022 price list, you would see that some of the base vehicle prices have changed close to $4000.

If you have your preview order handy, give me the base price for your body style with the body code and I can give you the current 4/22 related pricing.

wish i could order from you, as a Canadian customer. technically i probably could since im a US citizen, but financially backwards to do so after crossing the border with it.

my dealer here said they would honor base price for the 21 model they never got me for the 22 that i have zero confidence in them getting either. better believe if i have to reorder a 23 il be fighting for that 21 base price-ha (it is the fleet dealer for my area-not some small town dealer). but i might try elsewhere if i have to

Just a thought. Leasing? From a USA dealer. USA residence address? Work Visa from USA ? I am not a scofflaw, BUT, your situ is ridiculous. I know Canada has a more socialistic view than America. It's just a car that passes a very stringent safety and emissions protocol. AND what's up with the language barrier in Eastern Canada? French!!!!! PEACE OUT my friend.

dont want to steal the discussion, but dont get me started on the french thing--since i live in quebec and see the tax $ and time spent to fight the inevitable english language influx (look up bill 96). so we will just say, like your guzzi pic....i have 2 guzzi's i need to finish importing this year from Colorado. and after that i am done importing anything other than something really really special (the dream 63.5-64 galaxie 500 vert 390 is one...)
