Build Date and Shipping Date GONE

19395 Views 65 Replies 16 Participants Last post by  PeterR
Almost a month ago i had a build date of December 6th which then was delayed (Yet again) to January 12th, ship date of February 5th. I called Ford today because I STILL can't pull up my window sticker. They told me it says it's "In Process" and no longer has a build or ship date and is delayed once again. They opened up a "Claim" for me and said that the claim will be sent to the sales manager who will now be able to get more in depth info as to what the problem is. They said he can now speak to "higher ups" to get detailed info. Has anybody heard of this. Im the one who ordered in May and tried to cancel it but they wouldn't let me because we already had a VIN number.

I e- mailed my dealer with 2 questions.... one was asking him to e-mail me my status report, the other . . .
I will reply in the Have Window Sticker thread, where it would be very helpful to stay and continue the ongoing conversation about your missing Status Report, in order not to continue barging in on this thread started by Sweetb728 about her situation.

Good news! If you want help with it, please save it as a PDF and post it here. As you may see from these various threads, there are changes underway esp. regarding the MyFord Touch which may be part of your order (sorry I forget):

Peter,

Have you checked with your dealer to see if they have any info on your build. Checked with mine this AM, it shows order received, no hick-ups but nothing else scheduled. Yours was a week ahead of mine, so wondering.

I have a call and an email into my salesman, and will let you know what I hear. I did add one thing to my order, so technically I think my last order date may rule here -- 1/7/2015 -- although I am not positive about this.

TBD

PS -- USMC Vet -- I have been having my salesman email me all the order confirmations, to create a paper trail should this order hit bumps down the road, especially with all the MyFord Touch bull going on. When I hear from him, I will update my order thread here:

Here is the Window Sticker
Also, I noticed the price on my vehicle has gone up $380 from my order sheet.
Base price went up $80
Remote Start went up $100
Delivery went up $200

Does the dealer honor the original pricing or are we forced to pay the additional $380?

Thanks for posting your window sticker. Your Production Start date is 1/23 and your MyFord Touch line item is missing the CD player, just like all the other recent ones. Hopefully CrewVanMan is monitoring the MFT situation, and will have more feedback for all later.

In general it seems like dealers have been honoring older/lower prices.
Sweetb728

AND....your MFT lost the 'CD'

Do you have a CONFIRMED price or is it based on the Ford 'A' plan or 'X' plan?
Hmmm, Goes to show ya They don't make these vans in order of the Vin #, My van was Built on Tuesday the 13th,(so they tell me) Sweetb728 has a vin 21 units ahead of mine and wont be built until the 23rd. Wonder what day that van was ordered?? May 10th for me. (I am 37049)
Miss Piggy was delivered to the dealer today. Sales rep told me months ago it would arrive 1-15-15. He nailed it to exact day!

Ordered 10-10-14
Built 12-8-14
Delivered to dealer 1-15-15 in Northern Calif.

Included "late delivery" items short arm heated mirrors and remote start. Sorry some here have had delivery issues. Mine did not.

Yes, that is correct, they are not built in order of their VIN sequence. My VIN was 50032 and was built on 12/19 and delivered two weeks ago. Go figure.

Congrats Orton!
Wishing you many days of happiness while building as well as stealth camping.
Mine should be arriving at the dealership tomorrow.
I'll probably do nothing much to it before the next stealth camping trip four weeks from tomorrow, but I'll be DREAMING about all those Graphite Dave mods I'll eventually get around to.
Once again, congrats and enjoy!
For people thinking about ordering a Transit.
Aug. 26 Ordered vehicle
Oct. 21 Finally got vin #
Nov.16 Etis report
Dec.1 Build date
Dec. 2 New build date
Dec.15 Delivery date
Dec.26-31 New delivery date
Jan. 2 Vehicle released by Ford
Jan. 8 Dealership was told to report vehicle was sold to help get on train
Jan.16 Shipped
Jan. 19 in California waiting for truck delivery
Jan. 22 Delivered late to dealership
Jan. 24 Picked up Transit at dealership, looks great, they installed flooring and side panels that rear A/C eliminated. They have been great and delivered everything as promised on order despite Fords efforts to eliminate things. They even extended my warranty at no additiona charge. FCC district manager promised to give me a Premium Maintence program for free for having to put up with the delays. Everything is good now but I did have to push my moving plans back by a month and my camper build down to just a bed. Hope this helps people who have ordered or are thinking of ordering. 22 weeks!

So, Thursday January 22nd the dealership texted to tell us the van had gone into production. Then Yesterday January 26th the dealership told us the status history says it has completed production in Kansas City and is "Awaiting Shipment". I checked Etis yesterday and it wasn't listed but today it showed up!!! Did it really only take 3 days to build the thing?! OR did they build it sooner than expected? On the window sticker it was supposed to be built January 23rd. One more question, is the van actually done or will it be getting sent somewhere else to add leather or the radio or something? How long does it usually take to get it once it goes to awaiting shipping?
Sweetb728

Where you are located from the plant will make the difference if it goes directly on a transport truck or to the rail yard for loading on a rail car.

Went back to look at your last message to me. You are near Provo, UT about 1000 miles from the Kansas City plant, so it will probably come to you via railroad to your Regional Distribution Center. Ask your dealer where they offload their cars from the rail. From there, it would come by vehicle transport to your dealer. Your dealer should be able to get the rail company and rail car number when it is loaded at the plant area.
I'm guessing rail car since I'm in utah...
