Build Date and Shipping Date GONE

Almost a month ago i had a build date of December 6th which then was delayed (Yet again) to January 12th, ship date of February 5th. I called Ford today because I STILL can't pull up my window sticker. They told me it says it's "In Process" and no longer has a build or ship date and is delayed once again. They opened up a "Claim" for me and said that the claim will be sent to the sales manager who will now be able to get more in depth info as to what the problem is. They said he can now speak to "higher ups" to get detailed info. Has anybody heard of this. Im the one who ordered in May and tried to cancel it but they wouldn't let me because we already had a VIN number.

Can the dealer request a Status Report for the VIN and get something in writing? There was another kind of report referred to on another thread, but I can't find it right now.

If the dealer/sales rep. really wanted to dig deeper, couldn't they get more information, or is it an important threshold that a build date be generated? Sorry if you have given us this info. before. Too many threads to follow!
Per CrewVanMan's post just now, can you go to your dealer and demand a Status Report in writing?

Also, Sweetb728, could you please continue this conversation here, and not start any new threads? Each new thread makes it really hard for others to follow things.

I also ordered May 10th and also have Jan 12 for new Build date, I have a sticker though...
I will e mail my sales man now and request that Status report.
If you could also post the Status Report results on the Have Window Sticker thread, that would be appreciated. Thanks

That is a Vehicle History, the other report I was thinking of. [Edit Tuesday morning -- the full name is probably best described as (see the Header on the report): "Track a Vehicle -- Full History"]

Sorry I can't answer you exactly, but you could ask for a current version of each type of report IMO.

Please let us know how it goes, getting the Status Report from your dealer. If you get any guff, it would be good to know, so that others can avoid the dealer.

PS -- The current "Track a Vehicle -- Full History" report is also important to get -- an updated version of what you posted yesterday.
PS2 -- The Status Report should also show other vehicles which the dealer has ordered, I believe, so indirectly it may shed some light on the "allocation" issue.]

Thanks. I hope Sweetb728 got in the dealer's face today also, and received updated reports.
I guess I could be one who received the wrong units. Mine said it would have cd player but does not. If you know who I should contact let me know.

I e- mailed my dealer with 2 questions.... one was asking him to e-mail me my status report, the other . . .

Have you checked with your dealer to see if they have any info on your build. Checked with mine this AM, it shows order received, no hick-ups but nothing else scheduled. Yours was a week ahead of mine, so wondering.

I have a call and an email into my salesman, and will let you know what I hear. I did add one thing to my order, so technically I think my last order date may rule here -- 1/7/2015 -- although I am not positive about this.

PS -- USMC Vet -- I have been having my salesman email me all the order confirmations, to create a paper trail should this order hit bumps down the road, especially with all the MyFord Touch bull going on. When I hear from him, I will update my order thread here:

Thanks for posting your window sticker. Your Production Start date is 1/23 and your MyFord Touch line item is missing the CD player, just like all the other recent ones. Hopefully CrewVanMan is monitoring the MFT situation, and will have more feedback for all later.

In general it seems like dealers have been honoring older/lower prices.
Oh my gosh... I swear my van doesn't even exist! I seriously HATE FORD right now!
Here is the latest update as of an hour ago.

"The system shows it was due on the 14th, but it isnt here or even in Salt lake City yet. Yesterday the system shows it in Armourdal KS. I messaged their status department and asked what the heck is going on? They are supposed to respond in 2 hours."
Have you asked you dealer to email you the name of the railroad and the freight car number for your Transit? CrewVanMan may be able to help you track it on your own.

I have the rail car number but don't know the company. It starts with T0Ax. What company would that be and how do I track it?
Per bobojay's suggestion that Union Pacific is the likely railroad, perhaps the UP site has a tracking function?

I do not see one right now, but here is their contact info. Maybe call them and ask to track your new Ford Transit by the rail car number you have, plus your VIN?

How do you find your rail car number for a shipment on Union Pacific?
The Full History report your dealer can email to you should have the rail car number on the line item showing release to Union Pacific.
