I have been vans with electric bench seats that will recline to become a bed.

who makes them?

how hard will it be to replace the front 3 seat bench with one of these?

I'm looking at using Sportmobile's Gaucho. It isn't electric, but provides bed space, and seat belts. Depending on the length, 20 or three seat belts.

is this what you are looking for?

Have to keep the seating like a regular van,
I think I have to take out the 2 person bench behind the front bench.

I will opt cloth, don't like to seat leather or sleep on it :)

Yes Sir, now need to find one to try first

i have no idea what makes it "transit ready", that was just an idea from my early planning stages, i built a bed out of aluminum angle and plywood instead. but there are build threads here from other people who used them, "rock and roll bed" may be a good search term, both here and on google.

Can't make any permanent bed, it has to be seating with seat belts that will convert to bed, I can see my nice neighbors launching ICBMs my way soon. My security cameras caught a few of them stopping and walking around and staring at my van already :).

Don't like the cushioning you find, I ran across a PDF file from Atwood on their seating frame products. All the gizmos you could want, power and not, without any of the padding or upholstery. Want a seat for three with a fold down table in the middle that converts to a bed, no problem. They even show that frame in the PDF file. Yeah, it's meant for coach builders, upfitters, etc, but there is no reason a end user couldn't do the padding or upholstery themselves.

If you end up with a seat that is to short for sleeping, it is possible to add an end cushion to extend it as a bed. For one of my possible designs I'm using a 60" gaucho with 9" extensions at each end for when it's used as a bed for guests.

Hello,

I know this is an old post but I've noticed a lot of people are looking for electric Rock 'n' Roll beds here in the US, I do campervan conversions and I purchase them from Demon Workz, you'll need to contact them by email as that don't display their electric range to the public.
