Actually Battle Born website lists the battery itself as 31. 33 is in the original packaging Still does have some mass to it.

It is a great battery - so far the only LiFe that i have qualified for use in the van electrical systems that I build.

Cylindrical cell based batteries are tougher - but weigh more than prismatics and that is what you have here.

Shipping a Li battery is more complex than an AGM, so it might be that you will need to sell within driving distance.

I hear you - sometimes you'd think they were light as a feather. OTOH, even if you only discharge to 20% SOC (technically you can go lower), that's 80 usable amp hours per 100ah Battleborn.

To get 80 usable amp hours from the Lifeline AGM's I have now, I'd need 160 amp hours, which would be two 80ah Group 24's* at 56# apiece. So 112# for the same usable capacity as 31#. Looking at it that way.... the weight reduction is amazing.

*Not that most of us would choose Group 24 - I only used them as an example because their usable ah work out to be about the same as one Battleborn 100ah battery. But they do have the same basic energy to weight ratio as other AGM's that would be more commonly used sizes (Group 27 or Group 31, for example).
