Both of my exterior door locks look like this photo. They look like oil or something has oozed out of the lock, making the center area blacker (or less faded). Or, maybe nothing has oozed out, and the outer areas have faded, for whatever reason. Washing the van makes no difference. I guess they've been like this since I got the van in May, but, I just noticed it about a month ago.

Mine don't. I'd 303 them...exposed exterior plastic oxidizes rapidly- the 303 pretty much stops that.

mine didn't start that way

They were clean for about three months then I noticed the dark oozing. I guess it's lock cylinder lube?? Bought mine July 2014

Mine was built just about July 2014, though I purchased it in 2015.
