Has anyone checked out the new Apple Car Play system that uses the iPhone?

Alpine and Pioneer have systems for Ford vehicles.

Be interested to know if it is worth getting an iphone for.

The same radios will work with Android Auto. I find it much easier to just mount my iPhone high on the dash and let the audio play thru bluetooth. I can then use any app I want including multiple GPS apps (I use Navigon, Apple's Maps app and Waze together).

ProClip, you can get a mount specific to your vehicle, then a holder specific to your device.

From the various photos you have posted, it seems as if you were able to integrate your screen into the visual field of the dash very well, so as not to interrupt the driver's ability to scan horizontally for risks. Well done IMO.
