Bought my Transit yesterday (2015 350 XLT 12 passenger) from a Ford dealer here in the Boston area, but they didn't finish prep/cleaning/tags before places started closing down. As a result, I was going to pick it up after work today. However, I just got a call saying they had to keep it for a week because of a seat belt recall issued this morning and they didn't have the new parts in yet.

Is there a new recall or is my chain getting yanked? I went to owner.ford.com to punch in my VIN, and it has nothing since the March 30 recall.

Yanked, I'd wager. They don't want to admit they knew before you made the purchase.

I suspect what they meant was that they just saw the existing Field Service Action for the seat belts and are pretending it "just came in" and have no clue that parts are not available, neglectfully assuming they will arrive with a week.
