Greetings from Hawaii!

I am not exactly a new member. I joined the forum back in November, the day after I ordered 1FDZX2CG9KKA65987. I've been reading about all of the clever ideas and builds that everyone has been sharing. After nearly 6 months of waiting I am looking forward to finally taking delivery in 2 days. I am ready to begin upgrading and modifying the Transit to suit the needs of my work and my family. I ordered it without the back two rows of seats as I'd like to use that area for cargo, bikes, beach gear and work equipment. I'm still puzzling out the best way to deck/floor the cargo area to protect the existing flooring and to add tie-down points for tool boxes and scuba tanks and over heavy things.

In the near future:
Rubber floor mats for Front row, row 2 and row 3
Plywood/Sintra deck behind row 3 up to rear door
500# winch and gantry in cargo area and ramps to single-hand load heavy tool chests
Small refrigerated cubby box between front seats
Aluminum threshold/sill protectors
VanCompass winch mount & winch
Cordura/Tuff Hide seat covers

That's about all I have thought of so far but I will also get into some interior wiring of LED accent lighting, power points, maybe a house battery and inverter, etc.

If anyone has any recommendations for custom shops on Oahu I'm looking for resources for fabrication and modifications.

Thanks in advance for all the help and patience.

Mahalo,

Jason

Welcome! We just bought our T-350 last Saturday. Make sure to post pics as you build...I'm curious what people do to their vans now that we have one.

A rubber floor mat that comes with nice aluminum threshold plates:

Looks great. I'll get in touch with Legend and see if they think I can trim that matting to fit in a Pass Van. Good looking out!
