I sat in a Transit 250/148”WB/Medium Roof Cargo Van

Nice Sporty (small !!) Steering Wheel - Borrowed from a Mustang!? :)

Driver/Passenger Seats Too Tight!

Front (cab area) Tight! Very limited space between front seats

Very Troublesome floorpan – anything but flat or expansive!

Intrusive Floor Hump in center (between seats) for Transmission

Footwell space downright cramped, limited, claustrophobic!

Not one but Two “Deadpedals” for driver’s Left Foot

It is very difficult to “swing” driver’s legs/feet from footwell to area between seats in order to stand and access rear cargo area – I had narrow sneakers on and tried to do this several times – The central lower console and transmission hump are downright intrusive – I imagine this maneuver would be almost impossible while wearing workboots

When considering this “Tight” Cab design, I am very surprised (and disappointed) that Ford did not pay more attention to driver comfort!

I rarely wear shoes and absolutely never while driving. I arrived at the Transit demo barefoot but prepared that they might require footwear as "safety equipment". They did, and I slipped on a minimalist pair before LEAVING the Dearborn Inn in order to board the shuttle per their requirement. Had to sneak them off after entering each Transit in order to test out the real feel to real feet.......very friendly to bare size eights.
