I have seen all sorts of cool parts that you could get for your Transit across the pound. What would you like to be able to buy to customize your new Transit once we can buy them.

6 speed manual transmission.
Might be able to do it here since you can buy the 3.7 Mustang with a 6 speed. Buy the clutch from Europe if it is hydraulically operated as is the Mustang. Maybe all the mounting holes will be in the shell. Only problem may be location of gearshift and fooling the computer.

Not extreme at all - standard in many parts of the country. And smart.

I've got bull bars on my Sprinter, and if/when it's replaced with a Ford, it will have a heavy duty front bumper as well. Either off the shelf of custom fabbed somewhere.

So how soon do you see this happening? I haven't really seen it.

I would possibly be interested in a shelving unit for the back of the Transit. One that keeps everything secure so things don't fall out and get everywhere. I guess it would somehow have to be secured to the van with bolts or something.

Bull bars are one thing i expected but never an aftermarket grille, good to know these types of accessories are available.

Not sure we're talking about the same thing? Do you mean a decorative aftermarket grill?

Or something like this?

Either way, I'll be looking for a new front bumper similar to the one pictured above, and a roof rack. The roof rack will serve as an attachment point for a remote controlled spotlight and offroad LED light bars, front and back.

Regardless of what you're looking for, I doubt you'll see it until.... the van... is OUT The companies that make these things need to SEE the van before they begin their designs. Can't just make a random bumper that looks like the nice Ford.com photos and expect it to fit when the van comes out next fall.

Also want to say, driving 50,000 miles a year, an air ride drivers seat will be high on my wish list.

My Sprinter was sitting on the dealer's lot with very few options but I fell for the Silver metallic paint and power mirrors. The fact that I was stuck paying for the suspension seats that were on it didn't bother me too much although they were something I never had on my wish list.
After more than five years of use I can't imagine buying another van without 'em!

Thats awesome, at least in the end it's something you discovered you wanted and didnt have to keep on thinking it's something you paid for which you didnt need to!
