Had my first viewing of a TV ad for the Transit today, was during the Seahawks game.

Like most of the Ford truck ads, definitely pushing the 'work' side of the truck, pointing it towards contractors and other folks working on the road. Same voiceover by Denis Leary.

I am surprised that NONE of the local Ford dealers are advertising Transits in newspapers. They list all types of 2014 and 2015 new Ford vehicles but no full size Transits. The largest truck dealer in the area, Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad, advertises online they have four T150, three T250, two T350 and two T350 cab and chassis all SRW; no wagons advertised. ALL are XL's and 3.7 Liter, except one 3.5 liter, no diesels. With the exception of the cab and chassis all are windowless white 130" WB. Ken Grody is 25 miles from me but I have been thinking of riding down there and see if they actually have all of these vehicles?

greg, if you look carefully when you pull up each vehicle, listed as New Inventory on a dealer's site, there will usually be some indication of whether the Transit was actually on the lot. Often, low down in the listing, it says something like "ordered" or "in transit to dealer" etc..

If they list a VIN, they often also say "In Stock." Of course, this does not guaranty that the thing IS actually sitting on the tarmac . . .

Good luck, you may find good company on this thread:

This tool can be helpful too -- under each dealer's listing, click on New Inventory and complete the search parameters. As you say, precious few Wagons are to be found anywhere:
