Need some experience from owners with the 350HD Tall Extended with the 3.7 in it.

Coachmen RV is coming out with a van that will be constantly carrying roughly 9k lbs in weight. So how does the 3.7 do loaded like that in this big van?

Is the 3.7 even available in the 350HD now? It wasn't in 2015 when I bought mine, the Ecoboost 3.5 was standard, with the diesel optional.

I have the 350HD, high roof, extended length, 15 passenger wagon with the 3.2 diesel. I have put over 60K miles in about a year, driving city & highway. The diesel averages 19.2 MPG overall, has the power to climb hills fully loaded and still pass cars & semis.

I rented a 350 low roof, 15 passenger with the 3.7 engine once when my van was in the shop. I got about 13mpg on a 450 mile trip, mainly on the highways. It had power, but not what I get from the diesel.

My 2 cents, forget the gas and go diesel, you'll appreciate the power driving on the highways, especially since you're near max GVWR.

Now that's a good point. Coachmen is saying 3.7. That doesn't mean that's correct does it.....
