Did you ship the van back. How hard was it shipping over there? Europe is on my list for hopefully next year.

We’re still in Europe, currently camped at a ski hill in Bulgaria 🇧🇬🏔🚐❤

Shipping the van is as easy as paying $3500 and expecting some petty theft during the voyage 🤣 message me if you want specifics. Euro driving is very straightforward ACC highly recommended! Van life is easy here!

I would enjoy taking our van to Europe but the price of insurance scares me as I heard it would be close to $2000 a month for liability and to cover replacement of my van if something happens.

Yes, liability is very very expensive- prohibitively so.

Interesting. I seem to recall many years ago my brother telling me that his liability was very low compared to the US and speculated it was because large judgements like in the US were unheard of. Maybe that has changed, especially if you are a "rich American" abroad. Is the high cost when using a US based carrier? If so I wonder if insurance purchased locally is more affordable or desirable/undesirable (or good enough to allow you to get out of dodge)?

Yes I saw liability is cheap but covering my van is what costs so much.
