Are there any pictures for the 2022 Sync4 dash? I'd like to know if the climate controls are still separate, or if they've been completely integrated into the screen.

The pictures of the e-Transit seem to show no stand-alone climate controls. I've seen this on cars like Tesla's, and I really don't like it. I can control my radio 100% from my steering wheel controls, but climate control is something I want to be able to quickly reach over and adjust without having to take my eyes off the road and fiddle with menus and non-tactile "buttons".

I've scoured the web for pics, but can't find anything reliable. It's a bummer I have to order a van without ever seeing one, but at least some reliable pics should be available.

I'm also curious to know this. I hope it has actual buttons. How am I supposed to safely drive if I have to navigate a screen? I'll never understand who thinks going in this direction is a good idea. We have a hands free law in our state but you can fiddle around on a built in screen all day long and somehow that's safe?

The new larger screens make a big difference. They can afford the space for large controls and dedicates spaces (rather than having to page around). I have a new Highlander with a large screen. It has redundant physical and screen-based controls for lots of stuff. I find myself preferring the screen.

A usable/safe touch screen is not impossible. We'll see how Ford has done.

It looks like the HVAC control knobs are still there.

I don't think that is a 22MY dash as 8" screen audio systems are not available in the 22MY order guide.

12 Passenger '22MY in the works - - Curious about this too - - "New for this Model Year" *Sync4 at the bottom of page 18 in the 6/15/21 'Optional Equipment' listing states "Includes Automatic Temperature Control" as though it comes along with the 12" screen - - I looked for more hints and even searched a while in the F150 Sync4 Info - - Thinking 'same factory, similar applications' - - Found nothing - - I'm very comfortable with mechanical knobs - - Not so comfortable with the weak continuing faulty 'Blend Door Actuator' Ford problem - - My 'wish' is for the Automatic Temp Control to perform with a better designed actuator and not additional sensors to communicate changes in blower air temps - - Walt

Looks like it’s somewhat confirmed via Ford authority. Maybe one physical button for defrost? Lame.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but that article mentions an optional electric parking brake. Someone in another post mentioned a small lever by the dash for the parking brake instead of the big lever on the side of the driver's seat. Does anyone know if these are the same thing? Is this an option on the van here (the article is international, I believe)?

If you search the Order Guide for "Parking Brake" and the van you want to order, you will see what is available.

And I've got $5 on the Auto Stop deactivate button going away. Hopefully because the whole function is removed rather than you are forced to use it. Maybe it'll just end up as a software button. See this post about the Costco ordering system repeatedly selecting the switch delete option:

As I mentioned in my OP, I've done a lot of web searching. I just can't find anything reliable. The link you provided is a Sync3 system. The link someone else provided from Ford Authority is a Sync4 but it doesn't show the whole dash, so you can't tell if there are separate controls below. Plus I'm not so certain it isn't the e-Transit, which definitely has a different dash (doesn't have center cup holders, which is even worse than not having dedicated climate control buttons!).

We get a lot of people who come here and say they searched but I think they gave up after the first try, Probably because they know somebody will give them what the want so they do not have to search for it.
I dont know, I spent my whole life physically driving from place to place looking for something and today the internet makes it so easy to find things.
I have had a drivers license for over fifty years and the Transit is the first vehicle that I have owned that has a air conditioner.
Having take home company vehicles makes it easy to make that claim, I am still driving my 1974 high school graduation present.

The top part of that day shown by Ford authority matches the eTransit, so I would say there's about a 95% chance there are no dedicated controls. While the console is defaulted to the mini console because the eTransit is commercial focused, I doubt that the rest of the system interfaces have been changed just for the eTransit.

Seems to look like this. One defrost button with no other physical climate buttons. Maybe @CrewVanManInfo can confirm
