Just went back to the Build tool again to see if they have improved it at all and it is pretty much dead. Sad that this isn't debugged before going live.
I've found that it works pretty well but it seems to depend a lot on where one enters the Builder. I have gotten the best results by doing the following: 1.go to home page, 2. Go to right menue icon and select "all vehicles", 3. Scroll down to commercial vehicles and scroll right to the Transit, 4. Click on the picture or on overview (not on Build), 5. Next page will have nice Transit with a build box below - click the box, 6. You're there! It works flawlessly as I screw around, consider new choices, consider making changes, leave everything as I've ordered, and leaving feeling like a wise man. As mine has not been pulled to build yet I can screw around like this ad nauseum. I feel like a bit of a simpleton but is the next best thing to the real thing.
Go to right menue icon and select "all vehicles",

right menu? Are you on mobile?
The three little horizontal bars in the upper right corner with the word “menu” beneath. This is on iPad.
Looks like the build tool for the Transit isn't working at all. Tried Monday night and again tonight. Nothing. The page doesn't load. E-Transit works fine...
The Ford build site only shows RWD option for a low roof cargo van, ecoboost. Anyone know what's up?

Oh noooooo!, Mister Bill!

I wonder why the dealer let me order AWD for 2022 if it isn't on the build site?!

The build tool has such low quality it's making me question my decision to buy a Transit. It looks like the tool is built by an intern who not only has no knowledge of transit, but in general lacks common sense. For example, the package selection is at the very bottom of the build page. There is obviously zero quality control on this build tool. If they can't even get a webpage done correctly, how can I trust them to get the advanced electronic features done correctly? Very seriously considering the promaster now.

I am really quite impressed with it. The 2021 was a POS to use but was ultimately pretty accurate. The 2022 Builder has worked great for me. I have a custom order already in but still have time to make last-minute changes so I have used it to run some sensitivities - removing this, adding that - and the total cost is spot-on. No errors. It can be a little arcane in that adding two options, for instance, which are interrelated (BLIS/Parking Assist/Sync 4) will not just be a sum of the individual elements, but it will derive a more complex system price. This has matched exactly with the manual price list I have but one really needs to read these lists carefully. The Builder is a little peculiar in that one chooses the GVWR early (even though it may not be compatible with your other choices, but once one selects also the length and roof height, and type it will make it all synchronize. When I was planning my original order I became really adept at using the clumsy 2021 Builder. Note that the builder can be entered through a number of different paths on the web site and not all worked equally well. I finally found the sweet-spot entry point that works best - but that was a couple weeks ago. The 2022 Builder is a wonderful improvement.

Please don’t let this be the deciding factor. At least experience both by sitting and driving.
