The only build option is passenger.

You have to go to the Commercial side to get the Cargo and CrewVan. Good luck after building one out and finding one at a dealership. They have not built any yet!

It looks a little buggy. Right off I see that HR long cargo van has a 156 & extended has a 178" wheelbase. Same as the cutaway. Neat!
I noticed the update this morning! Great news! Will they offer AWD on the passenger van? It wasn't an option. Really hoping they didn't drop the option.
Someone noticed below that the ford.com builder tool now works for the 2022.

I had/others noticed the odd behaviour of the Auto Start-Stop Switch option on the Costco website for the 2022's, and even a user here mentioned their dealer telling them the Auto Start-Stop delete couldn't be removed ...

So adding to the mystery, the vehicle builder has the switch delete as "Included", and it doesn't allow you to remove it.

My Preview Order lacks the selection of the option ... but we'll see if that means it is no longer an option, or if they're just making it really really hard for people to not get it. Fingers crossed.

Did you have EB as part of your build selection when trying to do it online?

Always.

There is some goofy'ness to the builder (as noted in the other thread -- 156", 178" wheelbases, no AWD), so it may still be in development. But it is mimicking the behavior the Costco website was doing several months ago (and still does).

Hmmm, just tried Costco again and when I started with a Passenger XLT w/ AWD it didn't auto-select the switch delete, but when I changed to the Cargo (and EB) it enabled it. I dunno that I ever tried Passenger on Costco before as I was focused on the Cargo. In any case, I'll get what I get ... as long as it has a Power Sliding Door.
Just think about already having 100 Transit orders in the system before Ford even has their builder site online. If you go through it, there are still a lot of mistakes in it.

Any rhyme or reason on why they posted the 2022MY on Ford.com now vs earlier or later? Anything to read between the lines?

Based on the quality of the build so far, I suspect it was coded by some of the guys furloughed due to the parts shortages.

Keeping the 2021MY on Ford.com has no use as dealers do not have any inventory to sell once you build out a vehicle.
Hi All.
The 2022 Build & Price Tool is Online..
Apologies if this has been covered before, but I'm not seeing a mention on the forums..
The tool has changed a bit since the 2021, and has some slightly awkward aspects..
ex. : unless you choose a limited slip diff. AWD doesn't appear as an option, if you're a newbie, you probably don't know this.
Also, the wheelbase numbers have changed!

Yes, I realize that the tool is meant for looking at options and that orders are best done with the options book and a dealer..
but it can be a good place to start and look.. that being said.. I have my own order in.. but I wonder if it's now considered too late
for folks from this point forward?
Still waiting for the VIN for my MR Avalanche Grey 148, Adventure Package Eco.. etc

i merged the three threads about the 2022 Build tool into one. Then I went and tried to configure a van for the fun of it. This isn't even Beta testing ready. I can't believe they rolled this out. Maybe I should order one of those 158" wheelbase extended vans so that I can reduce the overhang!

Edit: finding all sorts of good and bad with the web site. Looks like HID lights are available with the cargo. Didn't find anyplace to select an EcoBoost. The site needs work.
I am looking at Ford's builder site and it's is acting strange. It's listing the wheel base options as 138" and 156". This isn't right is it? The specs page still list 130 and 148. Did the vans get longer for 2022?

That's not news; ford.com is working as expected.

All the builder site threads got merged to one in the General Forum. You can find others making the same comments there and the implications, and/or why it doesn't really matter.

My bad. In other weirdness, I searched this forum for “158““ from my desktop and found nothing helpful but the same search on mobile has useful results on the first hit.

The Forums search is pretty terrible (I don't think it's the Transit site in particular, just everything that uses the software). Some people have figured out how to use it, but others use Google instead and specify the site instead. I think Google ignores quotation marks so I don't think you can search for a ", but this might find you those references plus more:

Those are the wheelbase options for there Cutaway and Cab-chasssis.

Yes - I really wish that they offered the 158 in a normal van / crew model. That is the one big advantage that the promaster has on the Transit.
I’d love that 178 wheelbase with a 25 ft total length.
