That's unfortunate. It sounds like it shoud be covered under warranty though, as long as the van is new enough...what was the reason they gave you for it not being covered by warranty? I'm not sure what kind of parasitic drain could kill the battery overnght. Is there a way to monitor that?
They are covered under warranty but I'd rather purchase my own battery than waste my time with a dealer. Mine dies in about a week probably due to the added alarm with Dronemobile. If you don't drive it often enough and far enough letting it drain will eventually kill the battery. I put mine on a trickle charger if I anticipate not driving it.

My Dronemobile monitors the battery voltage. Unless you have an issue or added something causing a drain it's normal for a Transit. I replaced my battery within months from new not being aware of the battery drain issue.

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that it's normal for a new-ish transit to go dead within 16 hours even if I don't have any issues or have aynthing that's causing a drain,?
No battery drain is normal for a Transit but not in 16 hours for a dead battery assuming it was fully charged unless there's an issue causing excessive drain. If you let the battery consistently drop in voltage it won't hold a charge and needs replacement.

Your best bet right now is to have the battery tested.
