Still working on the ceiling transition to the cab overhead.
Rectangle Textile Beige Wood Sleeve

My fancy scribe tool, it works great! I started scribing with cardboard.

Then I traced it on to a piece of 1/4 inch which i can sand it down easily to get a better fit.

Next, I trace it onto some 3/4 plywood and do a little more sanding to get a better fit.

I added a bottom piece that'll make a nice transition. Tomorrow, I'll covering it with upholstery and install it. I want to think about how I'm going to install overnight.

I un clipped the 3 clips holding the overhead panel and stuffed it with Havelock Wool to make it straight instead of a slight curve, this will make the transition piece look really nice, I hope!

Adding upholstery to the transition piece.
Wheel Automotive tire Tire Road surface Asphalt

This glue works great, I sprayed it on both halfs and rolled the wood over onto the upholstery, worked great and no wrinkles.

I also added some staples.

One screw in the middle, which my wife is going to cover up and the screw on the side will be covered by the styrofoam block.

It's really solid and fits great.

The transition to the cab fit well too and the color is a really close match.

What is the color of the fabric and your source? I believe marine/auto upholsterers sometime use a product called landau foam underneath (high density, closed cell). Not sure how it is to work with. If I was to guess, it might make it easier (faster) to get good aesthetic results?

Yesterday I started working on the trim piece above the side door.
Plant Motor vehicle Automotive exterior Asphalt Bumper

Added some support and mounting pieces.
Shade Plant Wood Tints and shades Leisure

It took a few tries to get the angle correct.

Scribing the bottom piece was definitely a challenge! Took way too many tries! I'm also going to add upholstery to the metal so I hope the seams tighten up nicely?

Glued and brad nailed it together.

Had to cut the the top at an angle so I could get a tight fit on the ceiling.

used a flush trim router bit and a sander to get a nice flush surface. I'll close that gap up when I attach the upholstery, when it's installed the gap will be tight and straight. I don't think you'll see it.

Still working on this piece!

When I install it, it'll bend up, so I cut a few grooves to help it bend slightly.

I clamped it to the work bench and then move a piece of wood under the other end till it was a tight fit. Worked great.

It fits great, now time for some sanding.

Decided to use a router to make a slight curve, should look nice when I add the upholstery.

Came out nice around the corner

Removed the trim, the center trim piece comes off first and i just loosened the top one and stuffed the upholstery under it.

I also removed the handle and then re-installed it.

I also removed the Lagun table mount, I only upholstered down to the first screw.
I put the door rubber back on and it still fit really well.

Did you remove the bottom plastic trim piece on the B-pillar to run your floor underneath it? Hard to tell from your last photo. I'd like to go that route but cant figure out the clips and I don't want to bust anything. Oh yea, nice upholstery.

Hello, the floor wouldn't fit under that trim piece so I cut the floor to go around it.

Yup and it seems that is what most folks have done. My thought was to cut the trim so the floor went under it, I could seal it to the B pillar. Nice win by your Sox last night.

Upholstered the styrofoam block, it's definitely a challenge to do! Wish it came out better but it'll have to do for now. Might try to buy a new one, if I can find one?

It fits nicely with the cab liner.

I'm not happy with the open area at the top, I might make a small block to fit in there?

The fit is ok but I'm not totally happy with the final look. Not sure what I'm going to do?
