So here I am at 59,528 miles and I am having a transmission replaced under warranty. This is a 6 speed transit connect LWB and I babied this van it's whole life now its getting a trans... any ideas why these things are known to go out? someone told me they leak internally and burn up. One day 2 weeks ago it started to shudder very very slightly then it started when I was driving at freeway speeds so I just decided to send it on in.

I have a 2016 Connecxt City Wagon that I bought with only 4k miles on it in 2017. My transmission gave out at 64K! ( a year and a half later!). I was told it's because it has a CVT Transmission and that they are the worst to have. I use mine for work and put 34k miles a year on it. Today I was told at 106k miles that my #1 cylinder is filling up with antifreeze and that it could be a new [email protected][email protected][email protected] If it ran reliable, this would be a great car!

I have a 2020 TC with 80,480 miles. I just dropped it off at North County Ford in Vista,Ca. After much searching about the transmission shudder, I've learned that the Ford Powershift (dual clutch) Transmission may have faulty clutch pack, Transmission Control Module. There are no engine fault codes nor transmission slips. In January, it started to shudder during acceleration but it was intermittent. Februrary, it started to occur more. This March it started to do it while cruising at higher speed on the freeway. Then going a very steephill one day, it started to shudder and could not exceed more than 30 mph up a very steephill. Anyway, Ford reps told me that they only have 1 transmission service tech and they are backlogged for two weeks. I will send an update once they have a diagnosis. Since 2014, most of the TCs I've driven never exceeded 60,000 miles and have not had any transmission issues. Since the TC was based on the Ford Focus drivetrain, I've started looking into the Ford Transmission issues: searchword DPS6 dual Clutch, Gertrad, Powershift.
