501-14 Handles-Locks-Latches and Entry Systems - FSM

 

 

Thank You. I was told I need to install a complete latch assembly kit. I'm trying to remove the old one but don't know how to release the actuator. I took out the 3 screws on the side of the door but am having trouble releasing tmit from the white plastic housing it's in. I don't want to break the plastic housing and cause additional expense. Thank You

 

I have no experence with the sliding door latch, are you following the directions in the FSM?
I have trouble following written directions myself, most times I read the direction multiple times and still wont fully understand it, after forcing it, sometimes breaking it, then when I go back and read the direction they sometimes seem to make more sense.
