Your dealer will have to keep you updated on the progress of your build until the end of the month. Close to September 1st you should be able to pull up the window sticker with the projected build date at the top of the sticker. ETIS will come up once you have a VIN but not tell you anything until it is built and released by QC.

camarina73,

Below is one of the many Threads regarding what to expect and how long on build dates. You can find others using the SEARCH box above right.

Checked Etis today and build date and all options are shown. I guess I guess this means it has passed quality control. I was trying to find a Post talking about how long it takes after quality control to ship but have not found what I'm looking for. I am in California. Does anyone have any idea how long it should take?

It all depends on if you ordered a low roof or the medium/high roof model. Low roof models can ship on a regular auto railcar and then a multilevel car hauler when going to the local dealer. The higher roof models have to go on the special height rail cars and because of their limited availability, it will take longer to get them on the rail. Then when it reaches the regional distribution center, it goes to the local dealer via flat bed on slant loader truck.

Your dealer should know about their past deliveries. Guessing the low roof would be about 4 weeks and the higher roof about 6 to 8 weeks. If the higher roof rail car is sitting at the plant scheduled for the west coast area, it could be in a shorter time frame.

With the do-over that was forced upon me, I looked again at the Wagon since it has a high roof also...but I couldn't get the heated seats so now I recall the main reason I went with the Van.

Good wishes on yours... be SURE to check each item off before you sign! Doh! me.

Think you need to get the 2017 Ford Transit Order Guide and see that the XLT Wagon comes with the heated seats. You can get them on the van as well.
See page 10 of the Order Guide and you have 2 codes for the heated seats, one for each cloth interior, 21Q & 21R. The Pewter leather seats use code 21H.

camarina73 is the only one I know who followed up on the MISSING CD from the MFT Navigation and is getting a NEW 2017 Transit.
yes i got ford to do a buy back, It was more about problem I had with sliding door issue they could not resolve but I also used the missing CD player as one of the issues and arbitrator agreed with me in his conclusion when he approved the buyback(lemon law). By The way I now own a Transit connect, A diesel, dual door , dual rear wheel 350hd extended and this will be receiving the 2017 transit wagon when it comes in. Ford has great design and engineering, what they do not have great quality and great customer service, I have an idle issue on the connect that they have not figured out yet and a clunking issue with whining at about 60-65mph that they have not repaired yet on the 350hd. Once I receive my wagon will be able to deal with taking both of these vehicles in until they are repaired. I hope not to have any issues on the new wagon. Praying actually.

Also to All Ford Transit usa members, beware my old transit wagon that ford bought back through Lemon Law is for sale at a ford dealer in leavenworth, kansas. Vin #1fmzk1cg4fka37237 at Zeck Ford. I thought Ford had to disclose lemon Vehicles, If you go to there site you can still see the sliding door does look out of whack

Yeah that gap looks a tad off :/ . Did that make it tough to open, or close, or both?

when they adjusted it so it would open good it just rattled all the time like it was going to fall off, and when they adjusted it to close well it made no noise at all while driving but would not open unless two people would open together, one from inside and one from outside.

Just got my transit. It is pretty nice. There was some quality control issues but all and all pretty nice and the power step is amazing.

Here's the vehicle report:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6EB_btjuYQfM3lua0Zhem1yNEE

It DOES show Lemon Buyback in California. Yes, Leavenworth Ford should be disclosing that on their web ad but at least any savvy buyer that has the brains to get a vehicle history report won't get burned.

OT: Funny how the Transit has been out for almost two years now and Ebay still doesn't have a model option in the listings for a Transit. You have to add it manually...
