Hello, I am currently looking for Schematics for my 2017 Ford Transit Long and Tall. I purchased the vehicle and it must have been crashed and had a rear door installed from a different year as there is no camera in the door and when I put the vehicle in reverse it pops up with a blue screen in the rearview mirror. I am hoping to install an aftermarket camera and connect it to the stock wiring if possible. Does anyone have any insight? It would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Please post what model radio you have in the van. (Which one listed below?)
Audio System/Navigation AM/FM/CD
Audio System/Navigation AM/FM/CD/SYNC
Audio System/Navigation AM/FM/SYNC/Touchscreen Display.

I can send you or post the connector and you will be able to see the pinout/s for the camera.
(Probability is that the shielded camera cable is still connected into the radio unit and that they cut the wire in the back of the van.)

I just installed another camera in the upper light on the back of the van. You can see more details in this thread.

Thank you for your quick response
My van has the AM/FM radio and AUX-in.
The Mirror is where the video display is.

If the van originally had a camera on the door there is likely a set of wires back there already.
The factory camera is always on, the computer just turns the display on and off based on gear position.

Assuming the wires are back there you would just need to connect the camera feed to the right wires.
These are the wires that feed the mirror display, if you're fortunate they are the same colors in back.

Sorry for the late response getting back to this. Thank you both for your response. I finally got a cheap replacement light with a camera from Amazon and I am going to dig into it this week. I will report back with pictures and results. :)

Do either of these schematics help?
I am having trouble reading these schematics. Is there any way you can take a cleaner picture? Thank you for your help

Thanks for this useful info. I'm currently researching how to tap into the rearview camera feed to bring the feed down to an aftermarket double-din headunit. Do you happen to know what color the reverse gear signal is?

The reverse signal appears to be a canbus one, so not a regular trigger wire.
If I recall I found some way to tie into a wire at the BCM on the left under the dash.

Someone may chime in with better info.

There is this from Ford, Reverse signal access.
thx for finding that, I used the trailer harness reverse wire on one of my vans for something else and it was quite convenient..

In need of more expertise. Pictures below.

I got the chance to take apart the van over the weekend and what I have in my January 2018 build doesn’t seem to match up to any of the three options from that bulletin. The bulletin states that all “vehicles built after 01/28/15 will have”…"the trailer tow wiring" or "the trailer tow body harness". Mine doesn't seem to have either.

It seems I only have item 5 (Main Harness) of Figure 1 on page 2 of the bulletin, and not the tow harness. There is one wire in that 4-pin connector of the main harness that looks to be GY-BN, although it looks more like orange than brown to me. Maybe I'm colorblind. Is there a way for me to test if that is indeed the reverse signal using a multimeter? I have one but am unfamiliar with how to use it. If that wire is the one, I plan to unpin it or PosiTap it.

It might be in this thread somewhere.

After a week of reading a couple of pages of that thread each day, I think I may have found the answer but I still need to confirm by checking with a multimeter.

Post #88 of that thread you shared claims there are five green/brown wires o_O but also provides a link which brings us to post #46 of another thread, which claims the reverse light wire is "green/brown" or "green with a brown stripe" located at pin 44 of a brown 46-pin harness connector. I really hope by "reverse light wire", they mean "reverse signal".

Now, that post is for a green/brown wire of a brown 46-pin connector that's located underneath the dashboard. If I'm not colorblind, I've identified a wire with that exact same color combination in the harness where the tow module is supposed to be as shown in the pictures I've shared above. I'll check with a multimeter to confirm and report back when I have time, which will probably be this coming weekend. Thanks for all your help so far! I hope to come back with good news.

Between now and when I have time to check that wire, perhaps someone who has checked that harness leading to the tow module can confirm? Thank you!
