So I’m having this issue whenever the van has been sitting for more that a few days. If I drive it every day, it doesn’t happen.
I’ve replaced the battery, and that did not help.
seems like an electronic issue but what the heck do I know lol. Any input appreciated.

If your Transit has a lot of options and it needs to be driven almost every day since some of these options are still powered after Key Off.
My Transit has few options and it is safe sitting unused for about 9 days, After 4 years I did have to replace the battery in order to continue letting it sit unused for a week.

It’s bare bones, no options and this issue occurred with a brand new battery. I’m so confused ?
I would guess that you are not the first.

I honestly think the battery is not dying. I’ve never had to jump it, it always eventually starts. Seems to me like a relay is getting stuck or something. This is very frustrating. Next time it happens I’ll try to jump it right away and see if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I don't think it's the battery either, fact that you don't jump it or charge it and eventually the vehicle starts says the battery is good, but the fact there is no crank ( I can't hear it cranking), would make me put a volt meter on the starter motor to see if it's getting juice. I'd check the terminals on the starter motor to make sure there is a good ground etc, ( a bad connection will prevent getting full 12volts and the high current the starter needs). You could also try this to see if it's a stuck solenoid within the starter motor, take a rubber hammer and hit the starter motor then try to start.
