Finally have the updated version of the 2016 Ford Transit Order Guide. A few minor changes but mostly the same as the first edition. If you are thinking about ordering a Transit, you need this guide to help you make your options list and be ahead of the game when you walk into the dealership.

Most of our forum members walk into the dealership more knowledgeable about the Transit than the sales staff. If you need a copy of this order guide, send me a PM with your direct email address and it will be sent to you.

The best way to enjoy your Ford Transit.....order what you want and be happy with it for years to come!

Along with the Ford Transit Order Guide, my contact sent me the order guide for the Transit Connect. If you or one of your friends would like a copy of that particular guide, send me a PM and BE SURE TO TELL ME you want the TRANSIT CONNECT ORDER GUIDE.

So true, I found this to be the case even before I found this forum. Unfortunately most sales people are not so much vehicle enthusiasts and therefore choose not to learn about their products beyond watching official videos in the break room. :|

When you finally get your Transit Order Guide marked and ready to order, check with your local dealer and see what they have to offer. If not satisfied, let me know and I may be able to help you find a quality Ford dealer. I have East Coast (GA, NC, TN), Midwest (MO, 20 miles from the plant), Pacific area (UT), and DFW, TX area dealers that can make you a GREAT deal on a ORDERED Ford Transit. You may have to travel a few miles more, but these dealers know a lot about ordering Ford Transits and make your purchase worthwhile. To save you a lot of waiting time when you order a medium or high roof model, take advantage of the Midwest Ford dealer who is 20 miles from the plant. Once your Transit is built, you can get it within 10 days or less. Fly in to Kansas City, pickup your Transit, and put some good break-in miles on it. Working on a possible Kansas City Ford Transit plant tour if you make the trip to get yours.

I worked for Ford and have a lot of dealer contacts over the U.S. Some of these dealers are my personal friends who I have known for over 30 years. The East Coast dealer owns 8 dealerships with 3 of them Ford stores. He ordered one of the first T-350 DRW High Roof Wagons with the Builders Prep package that was converted to a rolling sales vehicle with living quarters (pictures below). Then they ordered a Transit Chassis Cab and had it converted to a travelling lawn care vehicle with all the riding lawn mowers and equipment loaded on the special made tilt bed. So these dealers have had a lot of contact with the Ford Transit and some of the special ordered, high optioned vehicles.

The pictures below are the T-350 Transit with the Builders Prep package. Our Ford contact in Dearborn sent this window shade for it. Looks like a moving factory advertisement for the Ford Transit.

19 Requests so far for the 2016 Ford Transit Order Guide - Updated Version. Looks like a lot of special ordered Transits will be coming off the production line.

No dealer connection in the SoCal area. If any forum members have a good dealer contact in the area, let us know about it.

Wish that had been my experience. My special order van was an epic combination of serial defects and mechanical quality flaws.
