Was excited to finally see the options available, etc.... Now the question for me is "late availability". There are some pretty cool options that would be great to have, but waiting an extra 6 months or longer? Hopefully with all the new hired workers in Kansas City, they can get up and going and prove to me that holding off on a 4 cylinder Sprinter is worth it.

I was at a dealer yesterday and there is a new order guide available dated May 1. Just a heads up if you want to update it.

The Transit Order Guides are a train wreck, and the online Build & Price facility isn't much better.

I've seen an order guide dated November 2014 which now makes no mention whatsoever of dual sliding door chassis codes. The degree if incompleteness is staggering which is particularly difficult for me because the T-350 I intend to order is so fully-optioned.

Third party sites like cars.com do ab admirable job of trying to fill in the gaps with pricing tools of their own, but few are capable of navigating the myriad dependencies and exclusions between packages and FSOs that putting together a buildable vehicle to any reliable degree is virtually impossible, let alone determine even ballpark pricing. Heck, even the 584 Audio which is the full-blown SYNC-based MyFord Touch infotainment and navigation is missing from the Ford site. And who knows how much extra leather seats are even with the Premium Van Group selected.

Firstly can anyone please refer me to a PDF Order Guide that is current and accurate. And secondly, can anyone provide any codes for factory upfit items so I can try to build my cargo van and have a reasonable idea of what I'll actually receive when it arrives?

Many thanks in advance.

Have you looked at the www.fleet.ford.com/resources/ford/general/pdf/brochures/2015/2015_Transit_PIB.pdf site for the updated brochure?

What dual sliding door chassis codes are you looking for? They have special codes in the VIN (positions 5-7) for each T series by body, roof, and wheelbase.
The first codes are for the T-250 Medium Roof 130 WB (E1D). None show for the T-150

For Upfitter information, go to the Ford Tough Truck Commercial Connection site

That brochure has a March 2014 copyright date on it. [Edit -- on p. 6 it does mention dual sliding doors as Late Availability.]

Madlock -- ditto to your general comments -- SNAFU IMO.

I have a copy of the 11/1/14 dealer proprietary order guide, and as far as I know it is not available online as a PDF. You are correct, there is no mention of dual sliding doors anywhere IMO.

The right column of p. 1 of this guide is for "JOB 2 ORDER GUIDE UPDATES . . . " and it has only one item for all-around fixed glass windows being available again for the "Regular Wheel Base Vans." [This option was withdrawn for a few months this year, I believe.]

I seem to recall that the dual sliding door option was officially moved to the 2016 Transit model year . . .

The following Racks and Bins Configurator site used to have quite a bit of stuff on it. I have not checked it out recently:

https://secure.ford.com/transitupfits/welcome;jsessionid=63458F873F130A2E41F38C6AE9FEA489.dd1

FYI and good luck!

Many thanks for the input. Moving the second door to 2016 sure would answer a lot. If that's so, the dealer chassis code identifier tool still hasn't been updated. Nothing like ensuring any properly made vehicle occurs only by accident. :)

I've also used the upfit configurator which is helpful in generating ideas, but it offers nothing in terms of the option codes that ensure the right item(s) get built into the van during ship thru. Hopefully I encounter a fleet specialist with enough experience to fill in the gaps. But with Transit being so new, those kind of first-hand experts are like hen's teeth - and Ford itself seems to do all it can to keep the information as opaque and unhelpful as possible. I wish they'd at least fix the Build & Price tool...

Thanks again!
