Lots of threads on seating, but has anyone actually been able to reconfigure the seating arrangements in a 150 10 passenger wagon?

What I am looking to do is remove the 3rd row double seat and jump seat and move the 4th row triple seat up one row.

Current Stock Configuration
D P
Double
Double Single
Triple

Would like to do this is possible
D P
Double
Triple

With removal of the jump seat, is this possible? It looks like everything lines up... I had the jump seat out, but it didn't look like the triple seat would mount where the TORX bolt brackets were.

Thanks in advance.

I have not personally been in a 150 but based on your description it sounds similar to the 3rd row in the 15 passenger with the jumpseat by it's lonesome. That being the case I do not know of a way to achieve this configuration without a conversion or other certified shop placing the seat mount in the proper position. If handy enough you can accomplish the same thing, but the safety of which is a worry.

Just to make sure I understand as well you want to remove the backrow (forth) which is the triple and move that forward to third row?

This may not be as unsafe as putting in seats where they're not designed whatsoever, but would require all the seats to be removed, vinyl floor covering, and then the tracks/supports moved *where they are not necessarily designed to be*.

When you move the triple up one row, you would not have a rail to lock it down. You might look at a triple from a 12 or 15 passenger wagon as the spacing for the seating and mounting legs is different from your 10 passenger. Have been trying to find a 10 passenger wagon to see the spacing for the triple seat and compare it 12 & 15 passenger wagon.

The rails are already there... It's just the jump seat is secured with a T55 bolt, into a bracket where the right leg, if looking from the rear, of the triple would go. I am guessing I will need to get another rail to replace that one... I should have taken a picture while I had the seat out...

What CrewVanMan is alluding to is the spacing would be off even with the 'right style' bracket with your current seat. guess the only way to really know is to measure, mock-up or put the seat in place.

Yes- measure, mock-up, or put the seat in place. From what I've been able to gather from various photos, the wide 3 place seat in the 8 & 10 passengers using the spacing you see in the photo of my floor above, using 3 of the 4 anchor points in my 4th row.

I haven't had the opportunity to try one, but I'm pretty sure one would fit in either the 3rd or 4th row of our 12 passenger.

The rails do not have the proper spacing for what you want to do.

Rails are perfectly spaced and lined up, the problem is there is a bracket for the torx bolt instead of a bar for the back of triple seat quick release to latch on and secure where the single seat is... the seat I'm using if the bigger full width triple. Not the 2nd row triple used in the 12 and 15 passenger configurations.

Good for you. Mine don't line up. As to your problem, it is still a rail problem. It appears to me that you could replace the rail, weld a bar on the current rail, or modify the foot on the seat.

And as such rip up the floor, etc. Not likely a worthwhile adventure unless you have plans to change the floor, or insulate. If you really want it that way, that's for you to weigh. Good luck.

Am looking for a vinyl floor to replace the carpet, rip up is a bit of an extreme description... With the seats out, which would take maybe an hour with two people... And removal of the entry and rear trim pieces it looks like the carpet should come right out... Which would provide direct access to the rails. And a pretty simple replacement to accomplish what I want to do...

But I'm more of a let's figure out how to get it done, as opposed to let's talk about all the reasons to be lazy and not do it. Excuses usually don't solve problems...

I'm not making excuses. You'll have to do one of the three things I said. Pick your poison.

I'm going the other way. I'm putting in a couch that makes into a (2nd) bed. I'll fashion myself an intermediary bracket that will attach to the existing structure on the bottom and the couch frame on the top. (and provide seat belt anchors) In my opinion, that will be easier than any of the three options you have and I'll get rid of those uncomfortable seats.

Further, I suggest you investigate my build before suggesting that I'm lazy or unable to move forward when there are obstacles.

I'm not building a camper, don't need a bed. So you're comparing apples to oranges... I'm pretty sure they are other threads where your comments might be more appropriate and maybe even appreciated, than seating in a passenger wagon.

Dude, you're still going to have to do one of the three things I suggested or use another seating arrangement.

Good luck with it.

Good well you get right on that then and post pics. How would you describe it prying up, massaging up, I'm not sure what it is you want..? You're absolutely right in that it would probably take 4-6 hours of actual work and if this is worth that investment for you great (just like I said in my last post...).

HPOSix, I'm curious - were you able to do this in the end?
