I have emailed the moderator asking for these two limitations be changed. No response. Thought if enough of us complain they will see the light. Unfortunately my brain and typing ability work so slow that the 10 minute time limit on editing a post eliminates my edit. I can not even correct misspelled words if I do not see them soon enough. The edit window should be 24 hours not 10 minutes.

The limit on file sizes eliminates my ability to post PDF's of my conversion drawings that could be very helpful to others. Again this site flaw needs to be corrected.

If enough of us complain maybe we can get it changed or at least an explanation why it can not be changed. Could always look for another Transit site that works better. Are there any better Transit sites?

I agree that the Edit time is way too short. 24 hours seems too long IMO, as the content of a post could change after many replies to it have already been posted, making for a nonsensical situation requiring further explanation to "unravel" the logic. How do other forums handle such a situation?

Another option would be to enable indented replies to comments (and later edits), all of which would be clearly under the comment in question. Visually this is nice on other forums.

I guess that as long as Quotes are used well, the replies will still make sense, even if the original post is edited heavily.

Whatever, 10 minutes seems too short.

PS -- It is Labor Day weekend, maybe the moderator(s) are off enjoying the open road?
