General Information

Transit T350 EXL wagon, 148" wb, Med roof, 3.5 Eco
"Hi-Yo" Silver......;)
the usual good stuff and a power step, too!
Bought this Transit in April 2018 with 28,000 miles by the previous owner. Went with this model after looking and studying the Transits for better than a year.....fabulous vehicles, these Transits!
Having traveled and camped in most of the lower 48 (all but four) we are getting too old to sleep on the ground, so will convert this van into a Class-B and use it for our travels as long as it runs.....probably 50-60K per year.

3.5 ecoboost.
I liked the diesel but with the frigid winters in Minnesota, the gasser made more sense to me. Very impressed with the power this boosted v6 makes and hopefully, with full synthetic oil and regular care, it'll last a long time.
We plan to add a sofa bed, two swiveling captains chairs in the back, cabinet with sink and some running water (hot and cold) as well as a second cabinet with a porta-potti. Will also have an electric hotplate and a Keurig, powered by a dual battery/inverter setup in the back. That'll be hooked to a charging station fed by two solar panels or shore power for both hookup campsites as well as our little Honda 2000I generator for when we need the extra power.
Plans are to add window vent covers, wheelwell liners and mudflaps.....and maybe a deercatcher bumper, just in case?
Eventually, probably either a Maxx vent or rooftop AC/Heat, a couple solar panels for our off-grid adventures and a retractable awning for the passenger side.
CD's while we're moving.....we have been habitual audiobook fanatics and that's how we roll!

The Bed for when we're not rolling down a road.
It's a 350 so a one ton chassis. Rides fairly smooth for what it is and handles well.
Wheel and Tire
Stock Continental VanGo Tires and alloy wheels as Ford delivered it.....seems to run great but traction on ice has a lot to be desired, even with the standard differential (no Limited Slip)
