General Information

Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT LT245/70 R16 118R E1 OWL

Vision Valor Wheels 16 X6.5 5-160.00 45 BKGLMS Item# 21039 $113.00 Tire Load Capacity3,450

They were mounted on the 2015 T250 LR LWB SRW 3.5L 3.31LS Rear.

First impression: I like em. Speed comes up even with a Garmin GPS about halfway between a 6% & 7% offset on a ScanGage E and they look better without the bolt on plastic hub caps.

Compared to a BFG KO2 LT255/70R16 tire after 4000 miles on factory aluminum rim from the 2015 T250 ....

The new tires and rims went on the 2019 T250 "Window" Van LR LWB SRW 3.5L 3.73LS Rear when it came in.

Footnote on fitment:

.

WeatherTech Mud Flaps (WT110051-120051) required minor trimming of the wheel well liner to fit on the front. The Coopers do rub on them in a tight turn. Reminds me of how the playing cards sounded clothespinned to the front fork of a bicycle. The tread pattern shown in the sand ...

.

This shot was taken where the 2015 T250 got stuck in damp beach sand on the stock tires ...

.

Maybe a 1/4" to 3/8" clearance on the T250 cargo 148" WB with the vision valor wheels at 70 psi ...

You've had those Coopers for a while now - can you give feedback on handling/traction/noise on wet & dry roads? Any clearance problems aside from mudflaps? Presume they are a big improvement off road and snow. Thanks very much.

Sorry about the late reply.

Noise isn't bad with a wood floor in the cargo van. The one time I sat in the back there was still some road noise coming in by the slider door step and the gap at the rear doors where it drops down past the floor. The traction is good in wet grass, shallow mud with a small mix of clay and on different types wet/dry road surfaces. The main difference that I like between them and the BFG KO2 LT255/70R16 tires is they aren't as aggressive and do more moving over rather than digging down when you need traction.

Never had any snow in FLA, but we have something called sugar sand that I wouldn't go near without a 4x4.
