CCP would be fine as long as amp has a trigger so it doesn't draw down your battery. Have you considered the Alpine PWE-S8 in the lower wall behind the driver's seat using our mounting panel?

      All the best,

Bought this van new in 2019 with all of the desirable options.
      (spec sheet incoming)
      highlights:
      • 3.5 EcoBoost
      • Trailer Package
      • Aux Switches
      • Rear heat/AC
Had the pop-top installed by Colorado Campervans in 2020.
      (invoice incoming)
      highlights:
      • color matched top
      • 4 season insulation
      • full cut-out with accommodation for MULE bags
      • Maxx-air fan deluxe installation
      • Dimmable LED lights
Interior build out is minimal, as we like to be outside when camping and really just use the van for gear storage and sleeping. See below for a list of most of the modifications and add-ons. I am sure I forgot to add some things so expect some updates to the list.

The van has been great for us, we have used it to camp in all kinds of weather and terrain. Mostly in Northern NM, Southern Colorado and Central AZ. We originally bought the van as an upgrade to a 4Runner and for mountain biking trips. Since the purchase we have gotten into motos and we are looking to get a more capable 4 wheel drive pickup for some of the more rugged terrain we encounter on our moto trips. Not to disparage the capability of the van, it does very well in all kinds of terrain but it is a RWD van and thus requires very careful driving and route planning.
Detailed pictures coming soon, if there is something specific you would like to see please send me a message or post here.

Our mounting panel for the Alpine PWE-S8 powered sub is quite popular. I have installed one in our Transit and have reached out to Ford BBAS for help connecting it to the factory audio. Got my dash pulled apart and just need to figure out which wires to tap into.

We also make wall insert panels for shallow mount 10" free air subs like the Infinity REF1000S which would need a separate amp.

      All the best,
      Hein

here is a video that shows (scroll to 7:00) the Alpine sub installed with our lower wall panels:

We make adapters which allow for 6 1/2 and 6 3/4 sized speakers to be mounted using the factory screws. Choose adapter which matches or is slightly larger than the 'cut out' diameter. You can look up the cut out diameter by scrolling down the DETAILS tab at Crutchfield. If using the factory head unit then choose speakers with higher efficiency and lower maximum wattage.

      Here is a filtered list:
Most of these are Hertz brand which we really like. So just choose one that best fits your budget. Then feel free to reach out to me directly so I can let you know which adapters to use. You can text me at 541 490 5098

A subwoofer is nice upgrade. We make a panel that fits the lower wall openings behind the driver that is designed specifically for the Alpine PWE-S8 powered sub. The sub inputs can be spliced into the existing OEM speaker wires. I just did that on our Transit and it sounds great.

      All the best,
