I glued my 3/4 strips along the whole length, thinsulate between and then 1/2 ply above. With a subfloor pad and hardwood our floor is so solid and quiet I would not do anything else. I did get carried away with the screws.

This looks really nice and really clean. How is it now? Looks like its about a year old.
