We've been working hard to provide the van conversion industry with a better way to design and plan the electrical build. No more voltage drop calculations, no more wasted time researching the best methods. Just drag and drop components, draw wire runs, and let her rip. Everything you need in one place to learn, design, calculate, order and install your electrical circuits in a fraction of the time it used to take.

im curious how you do recommendations. For example there are plenty of standards, tables, and data available for a given gauge of conductor absolute maximum current capacity, and from there derating to temperature rise above ambient, derating to allowable voltage drop, derating from running in bundles etc.

flip side is knowing when to ignore the de-rating guidances - for example for bundles as there might be additional information such as I will only use one of AC or heater at once. never both. ergo for this particular circumstance I can ignore the bundle de-rating factor.

Similarly USB charging might be 60 W initially, but only for an hour and then it starts dropping for the next hour to zero. In this situation I may not de-rate for temperature rise as much as calculated as it is only short term.

ergo I have found a lot of trade-offs that cannot just be calculated. If I did just calculate worst case, I would be disappointed if my results suggest 12 or 14 AWG when 20 AWG for a small USB charger and lamp is actually sufficient.

I respect if that is part of your secret sauce and cannot share publicly.

I am in high anticipation!!!
As we wait for our '26 to be built I am in need of something like this. Having very little knowledge of these electrical systems and currently being in paralysis trying to figure out the design, I'm finding it hard to move forward.

I am your direct intended customer! Can't wait!

sounds nice but wasting my time and learning stuff is the main reason i'm building a campervan

Why not learn how to do it the right way? We'll have an educational resource that provides links to guides, videos and wiring diagrams, except they'll be vetted so you won't have to question if the influencer posting them has any clue what they are doing. Plus, it will all be integrated.

For example, adding a switch to your circuit? Get recommendations on wiring (add a relay, run it inline). When your project is complete, you'll have access to print out the wiring layout, (your vans wiring harness runs) plus optional prints (circuit summaries, wiring diagrams, installation guides), plus a bill of materials, so you'll know exactly what you need to order.

So feel free to waste your time on the app, playing with layouts and learning through contextual guidance :)
