Big Green gets new work boots

Last April, I was camping with my good friend Big Green (a 2017 Ford Transit 150) in the Gila National Forest southwest of Albuquerque NM. Not that I love to camp, mind you, but sometimes I like darker skies than are available in Central Illinois in which to pursue my hobby of astrophotography. At the campground, Big Green was attacked by a cactus, which stuck a big long needle clean through the sidewall of one of his stock Vanco tires. Thank the Lord for Fix-a-Flat, two cans of which sufficed to stop the leak. But it certainly made me wonder if Big Green should be wearing street shoes out thar in God's Country.

Well, I'm on my way to Wyoming in two weeks for more astrophotography, this time out in the middle of absolutely nowhere a/k/a the Powder River, at the end of a 5 mile dirt, gravel and boulder road. Time for new shoes for Big Green! But not street shoes; rather, work boots, something with much tougher rubber:

Cooper Discoverer AT3LT. 225/75/R16 with E load rating. $761.16 installed, but I'll get a $70 rebate.

Big Green feels he's stylin' and asked me to share the attached pics.

Very nice! I plan on getting the AT3s from Cooper as soon as the Vanco's need to be replaced. I just put some Cooper A/T on my truck and the AT3s are just a bit less aggressive. I like how they look on your van. It gives me a good idea of what they will look like on mine.

Before you buy, you might want to look at this video, which cleared up my confusion regarding Cooper's AT3 line:
Unlike the 4S, the LT is E-rated, which is what our Transits need.

Garage
You will love the tires, I had Discoverer ATPs on my Super Duty truck for years and now have Adventurer ATs on one of our wagons. Great tires for the price from an American company.

Thanks for the video. I did happen to see that one when researching Cooper Tires for my truck. Appreciate it!

I am sure it has been discussed a bunch of times, but I am going to ask again.

Has anyone tried the Cooper Discoverer AT3 LT LT245/75R16 on their Transit?

Funny thing happened on the way to the internet...

Evidently I have asked this question before, but without a specific tire in mind:
