Graphite Dave and I are working on pulling together a small van related get together.
Nothing fancy or complicated - just who ever is in the mood to stop by and look at vans and related stuff.
A few details still to be worked out, but the general plan is:
- Sunday April 28, 2019
- 11 am - 6 pm
It is going to happen, just narrowing down the location options.
Location
- Petaluma / Santa Rosa CA area.
- Exact site still being worked out.
Criteria
- Ideally able to accommodate up to 30 - 40 vans
- Parking place where we can keep them relatively close to each other
- Children are welcome, so it would be nice if there was something for them to do as most will tire of looking at vans long before those who think of it as a hobby.
- Nearby bathrooms
- Nearby food places would be nice
To be honest, finding a place that can accommodate and be children friendly is a bit complicated, which is really unfortunate.
This isn't brand specific and anyone who enjoys this sort of hobby event is welcome to stop by.
My own van actually is not really a conversion at all - more of an auxiliary power demo unit in some ways. If you have any interest in finding out what it takes to power something, feel free to plug in and ask questions.
If you think that there is at least a 10% chance that you might stop by, please post here so we can do some approximate planning.
Originally it was planned as a "bring your own food and drinks" but one of the sprinter van owners is attempting to pull together tables and related for more of a potluck sort of arrangement.
Take care,
Harry
