You could use an aftermarket parking sensor setup (Only $15!). Put some on the vans "forehead" and let them beep at you!

Apparently, when I was at the dealer last (April 2018), I should have reminded the mechanic not turn until the entire van was through the shop door. Unfortunately, his method resulted in the sideswiping of the sliding cargo door causing almost $3,000 in damage.

Sorry to hear about the latest accident. You're having some bad luck with other people driving your van. After hearing your 2 stories, I'm going to try my best to never let anyone else drive mine.

Holy cow!!

You wouldn't by chance have a wife or girl friend who goes along with you who is so hot she clouds people's minds?

I'm guessing if a Ford mechanic has to be reminded not to sideswipe other vehicles he is not the mechanic you be wanting to have do the surgery on your vehicle.

I think the problem is that I have such low expectations of valet parking attendants and automobile dealers that my vivid visions of them abusing my vehicle becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy.

If only I can learn how to channel that visualization power in a positive way with my stock portfolio....

Curious, how did the diminished value claim get sorted out for you?
