Tweeter removal

I am trying to remove the factory tweeter from the A pillar, has anyone done this. The tweeter is captured in a circular piece of plastic with three prongs holding it in. Does it just snap in? How do you release it? Thanks in advance. Bill

Go to it took two small screwdrivers and tried to push back the tabs and the plastic broke. It's free. Wrapped new smaller tweeter in vhb tape, pressed in and hot glued it in place.

I used Pioneer TS-A652C speakers. The tweeter diameter is smaller than stock. If you have stock tweeters you can use the stock wiring to hook up tweeters. The crossovers are inline with these tweeters. I cut the Ford Connector off and wired them together. Crutchfield supplied a connector for the door speaker. Thank s too Hein and Far Out Ride for their write ups and videos. Pulling the a pillar off on the drivers side is a bear. I can pull a door panel off in. In minutes now that I figured out the connectors! I did not have to run wires thru the door-hinge area. The color code on the door speakers and tweeter are the same. The Pioneer speaker adapters for the door worked well too. No need to cut up stock speaker mount. The adapter has easy to break off tabs to get the proper sizing. Photo of tweeter and wiring. The crossover is about 1 1/2". iPad upside down photo!
