I am not sure if this belongs in Tech/Electronics or Tech/Accessories or maybe Service & Troubleshooting...
My 2019 T350 148" MR, Code X2C has a Sync 3 system installed. My understanding is that the vehicle has the necessary wireless equipment to allow it to be enabled as an At&T Wifi hotspot connection for up to 10 devices. I have tried for the last few days to register an account at AT&T's myvehicle site. The site asks for a manufacturer and VIN in order register an account. When I enter my information I get an "error, please contact customer service" message. When I contact customer service (twice) the reps tell me that after consulting with the "back office" they see that the vehicle model is equipped with the necessary equipment but that "the final paperwork has not been received by AT&T". The AT&T reps both encouraged me to return to the dealership and ask them to "enter a retail and wholesale work order".
Back at the dealership when I asked my sales guy if there was some paper work that they needed to do at the dealership I got a blank stare and then the sales guy at the next desk said, "That's not us, that's something Ford should have done."
So, anyone had any luck activating their Sync AT&T wifi hotspot? Does anyone have any idea who I can contact at Ford to find out how to get the information over to AT&T? Do I go back to the dealership and report it as a warranty issue?
Thanks in advance for any advice or feedback.
I think you need to have a "sync connect" vehicle which is different from the sync 3 vehicles
