Ford dropping ETA to dealer dates from Vehicle Visibility

Once the UAW Local 249 announced a possible strike at the Kansas City Assembly Plant, Ford changed up the ETA dates for Transits in production after September 14th to 'TBD'. Scheduled build dates are still showing up the same so it looks more like a problem with the transporters than the plant. For the last month we have had delivery problems with Jack Cooper Transport getting our Transits on a timely basis.

Hey Ed,
Are you still seeing my van scheduled for Oct 3rd production?

SEMA crunch is already in effect, I am praying no strike until after my van is built

Scheduling has NOT CHANGED, only the ETA delivery information to the dealership. I am trying to find out why this happened and get a contact to find out what is happening as far as deliveries to the dealership. Your van build date just moved one day, to October 4th, as it seems a few of them moved over one day when they took off the delivery dates.

Do you have a contact through SEMA that has a contact to Ford so we could try and get a bypass from the plant after passing through Quality Control to get your Transit quicker than waiting for transport delivery?

I am sure going to turn up the heat now....Oct 4th is a Friday and I don't want to loose a bunch of time to the weekend and who knows after that.
I will cc you on some emails and make some calls in the morning.
Thanks for the heads up on this.

Mine got pushed back 4 days. I already have some trips planned with the new van in late October and November. I really hope things get better at the plant and quickly.

Ford has added some ETA dates for Transits with September build dates. This may have been done since Ford has avoided the first strike dates past the September 14th deadline. Build dates from September 27th to the last 2019 model build date of October 17th still showing TBA for ETA arrivals at Matt Ford.

And as was mentioned by Ed (CrewVanMan) and someone else....
There is a transport company that is NOT Ford that goes between the factory and the dealer....they have the real power.
