Lightbulb First view of the order guide on the Ford Transit CrewVan model

YES! For 2020, the CrewVan has become its own model for the Transit. Here are some first things to look at if you are looking to order this model.

Body styles will be available in T-150 through T-350 in the 130" and 148" WB in the SRW and in the DRW in the Extended Wheelbase. Low Roof models are showing Late Availability as far as ordering on the first run vehicles.

Standard engine will be the 3.5L PFDI V-6 with the 2.0L Diesel and the 3.5L EcoBoost as optional engines. ALL of these engines will have the 10 speed Automatic Overdrive transmission.

Going through the available options list, HID Headlamps, Front Fog Lamps, 31 Gallon Extended Range Fuel Tank, various Short Arm and Long Arm mirrors, and Extended Length Running Boards (the single stationary running board for the sliding door will be standard). Most of the options available to the cargo van will be available on the CrewVan.

Available on the CrewVan will be the stationary windows for the second row seating on BOTH LH & RH side of the van. You will still be able to get the same windows in the Dual Sliding Door models and NO factory pop-out windows will be available for this model.

Interior options are limited on the CrewVan to the Vinyl and Cloth seating and NO Leather interior option. This may give aftermarket companies a chance to design and sell upgraded seating for these models. The second row seat is supposed to be the 62" 3 passenger seat which was not recommended to Ford in the initial build choices but we will see how it works out. Curious to see if the 54" and 36" seats from the 2020 passenger van can be installed in the place of the 62" seat. With the NEW seating materials that are part of the 2020 Transit, there may be a high demand for take-out seats on these models.

As far as flooring, the vinyl flooring option will only be available in the front passenger area and the second row seating. No current option for the vinyl flooring past the second row seating to the rear of the van.

Matt Ford will be ordering a fully optioned CrewVan model so we can get some pictures and see exactly what these options look like on this particular model. We will have our own EXCLUSIVE CrewVan Edition with its own unique badging and this will distinguish our model from any other ones ordered through Ford dealers. If you ordered a prior model Transit and made your own CrewVan model, we will be offering a similar styled badge for you to purchase and add to your Transit exterior to let everyone know you made your own private CrewVan model.

Looks like the Side Curtain airbags on the Order Guide are full length for the Crew? I don't see anything that states they are only for the second row.

Do you see any specs on that?

Any indication if the rear A/C had any re-design since 2019? I am a bit put off by how the transit rear AC take up floor space and the thickness of ducting walls on the wagon. This is one area I think Sprinter has an advantage with its rooftop design. Are there any good solutions to this?

Also, any indication if the ground clearance at the rear shock mounts is improved? Some photos show them, some did not.

Transit rear air is far superior to Sprinter. Sprinter is overdesigned for the airport shuttle folks, increases vertical clearance, and can leak. After living with Sprinter for five years (2010), the Transit design is almost perfect for us.

Pictures of the CrewVan Edition emblem were on one of the forum threads with 2 other items we will not order at this time. The CrewVan emblem for the private made model will be $30. It will be different from the ones for the 2020 model with BLACK lettering instead of the RED lettering for the ones going on the Matt Ford sold vehicles.
