Thumbs down Delay on pricing for the 2020 Transit

Sent a email to the Ford Transit Brand Group this afternoon to find out when we would get the pricing for the 2020 Transit. We were told in the past ALL of the order information for the 2020 Transit including the order guide, price list, and access to place orders would be July 17th. Then a change in the date came up and changed to July 15th.

We got the order guide today. No pricing and when I inquired if the July 17th date would be the date for the rest of the information, email stated the pricing is delayed until July 29th.

So we have a order guide...delayed pricing, and no way to even input a order into the Ford system. GREAT!!

This may be the deciding factor in Ford delaying the pricing on the 2020 Ford Transit.

http://www.fordauthority.com/2019/07...iations-begin/

Besides all of the engineering costs for the NEW options on the 2020 Transit, Ford will be looking to pass on the extra labor costs for the start of production on this model which begins on October 21st.

Just as the speculation about the base pricing on the 2020 models being 5% more than the 2019 model just for the NEW options and engineering cost going into the new model, adding more labor costs to it may make it even more expensive.

At some point new vehicle sales will take a dive. We all understand prices do go up over time but 3-5% YoY is too much for many people to handle. I think most will just by a slightly used car, van, truck etc and not have to deal with the big increases for new. Buying a new car is just too expensive these days it seems.

New car pricing was much more affordable when Air Conditioning was still an option.

As is the auto tranny. I think the new Gladiator will be the only gasoline truck available with a manual transmission.
