Exclamation Countdown to last days for 2019 Transit orders

The countdown format has been done in the last 2 years and has been effective to get some Transit buyers making their decision whether to purchase their Transit or hold off for the next years model.

This is really one of the most trying years to decide whether to go with the current model or wait and go with a NEW model with mostly NEW electronics. Appearance wise, the front part of the Transit changes with the HID headlamps, lower fog lamp/driving lamps, and a NEW front grille. Inside the Transit interior is a ALL NEW instrument panel with completely redesigned audio systems. Both the Cloth and Leather seating trims have changed.

Under the hood Ford has replaced the Diesel engine as well as the base engine. The 2.0L 4 cylinder Diesel engine comes over from Europe to replace the 3.2L Inline 5 cylinder powertrain. The 3.7L V-6 engine is replaced with the 3.5L PFDI (Port Fuel & Direct Injection) and the 3.5L EcoBoost is unchanged from the prior years. Further back behind the engine is a NEW 10 speed automatic transmission that will have more seamless shifting points than in the previous 6 speed version.

The largest part of the drivetrain changes is the AWD (All Wheel Drive) which has finally moved from Europe with ALL NEW design for BOTH V-6 engines. It keeps the vehicle height the same as the non-AWD version and changes the bolt pattern on the wheels from the traditional 5 bolt sequence to a 6 bolt pattern. With this change, you will NOW get some NEW wheel offerings in the standard steel wheel as well as aluminum wheel offerings.

So starting the countdown earlier than in previous years as the later cutoff date gives more time to order a 2019 model. From today's date, it is
.........88 DAYS left to order a 2019 Ford Transit.

Dual 250 Amp alternators and swivel driver’s seat may be of interest for DIY camper builds.

There are so many option offerings for the 2020 Transit that I would have been worn out going over every one of them. Like a lot of Transit future buyers, you have already looked at the information here on the Transit forum as well as the information that Ford has placed on their website.

From the Work Truck show in Indianapolis, IN to the local shows around the country, you will be able to see one of the 2020 Transit models on display and see some of the many changes for that model. I have already started working on the Matt Ford 2020 B-O-B Transit Service information with building a Transit order sheet using the 2020 Ford Transit Order Guide and then a lot of NEW information about looking for financing, rebate information that will be later on in the model offering, and updates about the 2020 Transit. I hope to have as much information as possible once the Order Guide is released. Working with the Ford Transit Brand Group I am already getting some inside information and getting to help formulate some possible changes before the NEW model is built.

Built in high power inverter would be popular.

Can you clarify a related issue for me, but about the E-Series instead of Transit?

Donlen shows the 2020 E-Series will start production on 1/2/20, over 18 months after the 2019 model year E-Series.

Much of Ford marketing data started showing a major upgrade to E-Series for 2021 MY, not 2020. Does this mean that there might not be a 2020 MY E-Series, and that units starting production on 1/2/20 will be labeled 2021 MY?

Yes, at the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, IN they told us Ford was skipping a year model but the 2021 would be out earlier than normal.

Thanks. Production dates didn’t make sense considering they always seem to start manufacturing in previous calendar year.

That is when Ford told us that the 2020 Transit would have a delay in the order and production schedules different from prior years and that the AWD may be a late availability once the first 2020 models are built. So with the large demand for the AWD already having buyers lined up wanting to order one, dealers with low allocation numbers will be looking to sell their limited few Transits at MSRP pricing.

With our high allocation for Transits, we should fill out our 3rd quarter allocation really quick. Not sure if Ford will give us more orders if we fill out our numbers too soon but we can always go to the district manager and see what happens.

77 DAYS LEFT!!!!

To order a 2019 Ford Transit..... With all of the hype on the NEW standard and optional equipment being available for the 2020 model, this can make a problem deciding whether to order NOW and take advantage of the current and expected rebates for the 2019 or just wait it out and GO FOR getting the updated options and pay the extra money to get them.

Last weeks scheduled orders were still getting mid-June build dates so this might be the best time to place your order and get it in time to enjoy it for the Summer. Delivery at Matt Ford for these build dates are coming in close to first week in July.

71 DAYS LEFT!!!

To place your order for a 2019 model Transit. Ford is holding up build slots for the WEEKs of June 10th & June 17th to place as many orders for the HR models as possible with a LARGE RUN of LR passenger vans for the rental companies expected to be started near the end of June and running for a number of weeks.

If you are looking to get one of these models and get the Ford rebates that are expected to be increased by July 2nd, NOW is the time to get your order into the dealer. Right now Matt Ford has some openings for orders left in their 2nd quarter allocation. Third quarter allocations will be open for BOTH a 2019 or 2020 model once it is open for ordering. Matt Ford is hoping to get MORE ALLOCATIONS for the 3rd quarter to help in placing the final 2019 orders as well as getting a lot of submitted orders for the 2020 model. Just be reminded that the first built 2020 models will be in late October and the AWD models may have a late availability making those built past that date.
