If you attend any of these shows, be sure to let forum members know what type of Transit ends up at the show. I know of at least 3 Transits that have been seen or announced to be at specific shows.

If anyone attends the Atlanta, GA or Bethlehem, PA shows can you let us know what 2020 Transit is at those shows? Curious to see what Ford is placing at the shows now. I have asked them to place a passenger van so more people can see they actually have one available as most of the shows in the past has just had a plain Oxford White cargo van on site.

Iíve seen dozens of pictures of the inside, mostly provided by Ford, and not a single one shows the area between the two front seats that is supposed to have been revised to make movement to the back easier.

If anyone attends one of these shows and has access to inside, how about posting a few pictures of where the parking brake is or was?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if they made it easier by making more room there, or if they made it easier by making the dash stick out far less. It appears from the photos that there is more room on the floor where the center of the dash used to stick out further.

Iíve read different comments from Ford suggesting significant changes. One is that driver seat can now rotate. Another is that seats or seating has been revised for greater comfort; and also addition of three-across seating. Mostly, Ford has stated that making movement to the back easier was an area where they had gotten much feedback, particularly from RV manufacturers.

I donít know if removing the parking brake will make as much difference as I hope, but if that area doesnít get improved significantly, Iíll stop looking at Transit again. My wife and I do not like the awkwardness required to get out of front seats to back, or the other way. The dash itself hasnít bothered me at all ó hadnít even noticed as an issue.

The worst part has been hitting my head as I go to sit in driverís seat (I would adjust with time/repetition), and being able to place feet on floor between seats when trying to stand from driverís seat to move to back. Compared to E-Series the dash isnít bad, but lack of floorspace between seats is horrendous IMO.

With 3-across seating, maybe they figured out how to move driver and passenger seats outboard a bit more. I donít know, but hope they increased space between front seats.

They did announce that OEM swivel seats would be an option, but no details as to whether that will be on all models or just the ones with Motorhome Prep Package. I noticed that some of the new options this year say they are only available on the passenger van, like the "Active Park Assist". Personally I think that feature would be much more appreciated on a windowless cargo van than on a full window passenger van, but them again a lot of the options and restrictions Ford has on them are not based on logical decisions.

They offer full length running boards or a power step for the passenger slider. Get the optional drivers side slider and now you can't have running boards or a power step on either side. That makes absolutely no sense to me.

The T-250 MR Crew Cab van that was at the Work Truck show in Indianapolis, IN will be at the Atlanta, GA show. This has the front 3 passenger seating. Another Transit van will be at the PA show but not confirmed what it will be as far as equipment. The DFW show will have a T-150 LR 10 passenger van as stated earlier and that is what I had asked for since all the previous shows only had cargo vans.
